Eligibility for a Mudra Loan
To apply for a Mudra Loan, applicants must meet the following basic eligibility criteria :
Applicant must be an Indian resident with valid ID proof.
Minimum age 18 years, maximum 65 years at the time of loan maturity.
Loan is only for non-agricultural small businesses, such as trading, manufacturing or service-related activities.
Eligible for both:
People starting a new business
People wanting to expand their existing small business
Applicant should have a good repayment track record; no major loan defaults.
KYC, business proof, income proof (if applicable), and necessary business details must be provided.
Applicant should fit under one of the Mudra categories:
Shishu: up to ₹50,000
Kishor: ₹50,000 to ₹5,00,000
Tarun: ₹5,00,000 to ₹10,00,000
